Membru fondator
Important de menţionat este faptul că Lions Clubs International devine, în 1954, membru fondator cu statut de ţară al Organizaţiei Naţiunilor Unite, reprezentanţii organizaţiei contribuind la întocmirea statutului a ceea ce avea să devină ulterior ONU. În semn de recunoaștere a acestei contribuții, anual la sediile ONU din New York şi Viena, se serbează ziua LIONS.

Cea mai mare organizatie
În 2016, Asociația Lions Clubs International este cea mai mare organizaţie de voluntari din lume. Este prezentă în peste 200 de ţări, având 842 districte cu peste 45.000 de cluburi şi peste 1.400.000 de membri. În România, Districtul Lions 124, înființat în 1994, este format din 71 de cluburi în care activează peste 1.500 de membri. Misiunea cluburilor
Misiunea Cluburilor Lions este creerea şi menţinerea unui spirit de înțelegere între toţi oamenii prin oferirea voluntară de sprijin umanitar, celor aflați la nevoie. Membrii Lions contribuie zi de zi la realizarea acestei generoase misiuni prin implicarea în comunitate şi prin cooperare cu alte cluburi din țară și de peste hotare.

Children`s Day - June 1st"All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them" - Walt Disney. Childhood is the most beautiful period of life. That`s why, on June 1st on Children`s Day, with the involvement of the Lions Club Sportiv Mereu Impreună Pentru Oameni volunteers, we managed to bring joy to the 35 less fortunate children at the Disabled Child Services Center (CSCH), Bucharest. It was a visit full of emotions, tears and incredible stories of abandoned souls with a lot of light and love in their eyes. Every action by which we enjoy and help disadvantaged children - and not only - is part of the ongoing mission of the association. We are proud of the contribution we make to society and honor every supporter who supports our activities. Together we can be protectors for orphan children!

Wheelchair Billiard Competition – 7th edition One day a year dedicated to billiards for the disabled! The Wheelchair Billiards Competition, organized by the Lions Club Spotiv mereu Impreuna Pentru Oameni, is unique of its kind in Romania! Everything started from a common goal and a noble goal at the same time, that of promoting sports and socialization among people with disabilities.
We have now reached the 7th edition, time flies when you love what you do and we hope to organize this sports competition many years from now. We found with joy that, from year to year, the interest of the participants is increasing. On our list of priorities is the establishment of a center for motivational trainings and psychological counseling for people with locomotor disabilities caused by accidents. On the other hand, in the long term, we want that wheelchair billiards to become a Paralympic sport - we are the only promoters of this discipline in Romania!
